Delawrence's Story
Life
A lot has happened since we all went our separate ways. Graduated and served in the Air Force from 86-90 as a Security Policeman in Germany and Las Vegas. Went to school after service life and now currently working for the railroad which I have worked for the last 17 years. Have 3 teenage boys who love their dad very very much. Most of my classmates considered me crazy, foolish, and a bit loud and obnoxious, but a very intelligent, smart guy. I'm still the crazy silly guy that my classmates know, but a whole lot smarter; and very selective of whom I deal with. Some thought of me as soft but not the case. I am known as DB 3:16 - The BIG SEXY Guardian Angel because God sent me my TRUE CALLING. To help those with positive words and thoughts each and everyday. I'm very easy going, laid back and most of all loves to have fun and is very cool and calm. Never been married. I am a CONFIRMED BACHELOR for now because it's hard to find someone who doesn't pre-judge you, have issues of their own or with you or isn't controlling. I have been a teacher part-time at Job Corps helping young kids gain valuable job and life skills. Still go back home to GI every once in a bit to remind myself where I came from, where I'm at now, and where I will be in the future so if you run into me on the street HOLLA. I hope to have my own personal website in the forseeable future where THE BOTTOM LINE will be written because I speak my mind on issues and maybe make an interracial group.
ALWAYS THANK GOD FOR LIVING ANOTHER 24 BECAUSE TOMORROW ISN'T GUARANTEED TO US; ONLY DEATH AND TAXES ARE AND ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE DB 3:16 THE BIG SEXY GUARDIAN ANGEL...Expand for more
AND THAT'S THE BOTTOM LINE! HOPE TO HEAR FROM SOME OF YOU AND MAY EACH DAY YOU LIVE, BREATHE, AND DO BE FILLED WITH BLESSINGS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.....
School
Well not much to say here but I had a good four years. There were times that it was rough but for the most part it was great. Loved ROTC and wouldn't change that although I wished I would've played baseball(regret it now because sometimes I dream that I won the World Series with the Chicago Cubs and I was the ICON of the city...lol) but that's all blah blah. Loved Math but hated English but overall I did well. My best two experiences in school was being named Honorary Council Member when I was ROTC as a Color Guard and of course when I walked across that stage and got my diploma signifiying my independence. Hopefully some of our teachers are still alive and well and hope that I get to see them one day. Hoping to get back into school here for computers or even better be Microsoft certified with systems and programs. It would give me a chance to travel and teach and provide support. Remember it's never too late to go back to school no matter how old you are. If you can go go..
Workplace
My road has been nothing short of a journey. After graduation; went to the United States Air Force as a Securityy Policeman. After the military I went to school to learn typing and clerical. After almost 2 years of study and a couple of Work Experience Programs in Joliet, IL and St. Paul, MN, I ended up with a job on the railroad in customer service and I have been there for the past 16 years. I love what I do and hopefully I will be able to retire there as well.
